CALL FOR APPLICATIONS:

2025 Touro University Faculty Innovation Grants Focused on Integrating Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Learning

The Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and AI@Touro are pleased to announce 2025 Touro University Faculty Innovation Grants Focused on Integrating Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Learning. This program is designed to support faculty to identify and develop resources for student use of AI in learning for a specific course, completing the work by the end of the grant period and incorporating the resources into a Fall 2025 course.

All full-time, part-time, and adjunct faculty with anticipated teaching responsibilities for Fall 2025 are eligible to apply. The grant period will be through August 31, 2025. Recipients will receive a grant of $500 for full participation in the program. Awardees will be expected to attend trainings offered through AI@Touro in conjunction with CETL, present (virtually) your work to faculty CETL in August or September of 2025, and are expected to engage in AI advocacy efforts at Touro during the grant period and beyond. Faculty with all levels of AI experience are welcome to apply.

Eligibility:

  • Any full-time, part-time, or adjunct faculty member with anticipated teaching responsibilities for the Fall 2025 semester.
  • Faculty with all levels of AI experience are welcome to apply.

Participants will: 

  • Identify and develop resources integrating AI for a specific course, completing the work by the end of the grant period and incorporating the resources into a Fall 2025 course, including one or more of the following:
    1. AI-based assignments or other learning experiences for students that expand the scope of their learning
    2. New assessments that use AI to promote critical thinking and mitigate its potential use for cheating
  • Receive a grant of $500 upon completion of said development at the end of the summer of 2025
  • Attend AI trainings offered through AI@Touro in conjunction with CETL.
  • Present (virtually) your work to faculty through CETL in August or September of 2025.
  • Engage in AI advocacy efforts at Touro during the grant period and beyond.
  • Meet with AI@Touro for monthly check-ins regarding the progress of their projects.
  • Receive an AI Faculty Development badge for your successful completion of the grant program.
